ISLAMIC AL-JUMUAA REMINDER AND LEGACY GROUP (http://aljumaareminder.com/reminds about the existence of creations/creatures not (yet) known:

Some scholars including Ibn Taymiyyah have opined that Allah has created other life forms and that this goes back to the perfection of Allah being the creator. Khalaq means the one who continues to create. So the notion that the only creation is us and after we are gone there will be no other creation; it seems to suggest as if Allah is not really creating perpetually/continuously. Ibn Taymiyyah also felt that this diminishes the Majesty of Allah. He felt that Allah has been constantly creating and will constantly continue to create to no end. And that what we know is only our world; that is Allah began our creation in this manner and there’s going to be a Judgment Day. This is our portion, there are others as well, before us and after us. Are they simultaneous to us? Ibn Taymiyyah did not talk about that. Ibn Taymiyyah is talking about the issue of Allah always creating but there is no negation of the fact that other worlds/creations could be simultaneous to us {e.g Jinns}. And there are many evidences that might possibly suggest this.

And (He has created) horses, mules and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment. And He creates (other) things of which you have no knowledge. (Quran 16:8)

Yet, they join the jinns as partners in worship with Allah, though He has created them (the jinns), and they attribute falsely without knowledge sons and daughters to Him. Be He Glorified and Exalted above (all) that they attribute to Him. (Qur’an 6:100)

Allah creates other things we will never know about. We know about the jinns to some extent but there are other creations of Allah that we have absolutely no knowledge of.

And among His Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.) is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and whatever moving (living) creatures He has dispersed in them both. And He is All-Potent over their assembling (i.e. resurrecting them on the Day of Resurrection after their death, and dispersion of their bodies) whenever He will. (Qur’an 42:29)

Allah says in the Quran that Allah has created all of the heavens and the earth and he has scattered throughout all of them…creatures. Not just on earth. The Samawat is not just our heavens, it is beyond our heavens and Allah says that He has scattered creatures in all of them.

Allah chose Adam, Nuh (Noah), the family of Ibrahim (Abraham) and the family of ‘Imran above the ‘Alamin. (Qur’an 3:33)

Al-` Alamin is plural for ` Alam, which encompasses everything in existence except Allah. The word ` Alam is itself a plural word, having no singular form. The ` Alamin are different creations that exist in the heavens and the earth, on land and at sea. Every generation of creation is called an ` Alam.  Al-Farra` and Abu ` Ubayd said, “` Alam includes all that has a mind, the Jinns, mankind, the angels and the devils, but not the animals. ” Also, Zayd bin Aslam and Abu Muhaysin said, ` Alam includes all that Allah has created with a soul. ”Further, Qatadah said about, (The Lord of the `Alamin),”Every type of creation is an `Alam.” Az-Zaj jaj also said, “Alam encompasses everything that Allah created, in this life and in the Hereafter. ” Al-Qurtubi commented, “This is the correct meaning, that the ` Alam encompasses everything that Allah created in both worlds. Allah said:

Fir’aun (Pharaoh) said: “And what is the Lord of the ‘Alamin ?” Musa (Moses) said: “Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty.” (Qur’an 26:23-24)

And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) not but as a mercy for the ‘Alamin. (Qur’an 21:107)

Verily, the first House (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah(Makkah), full of blessing, and a guidance for Al-‘Alamin. (Qur’an 3:96)

And Lout, when he said to his people: “Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the ‘Alamin? (Qur’an 7:80)

And no reward you (O Muhammad SAW) ask of them for it, it (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder and an advice unto the ‘Alamin. (Qur’an 12:104)

“Go you in unto the males of the ‘Alamin (mankind), (Quran 26:165)

They (people Sodom) said: “Did we not forbid you to entertain any of the ‘Alamin (people, foreigners, strangers, etc. from us)?” (Qur’an 15:70)

From the Ayats above we can see that some of the children of Adam have been chosen by Allah to be above the ‘Alamin. We can also see that our Prophet {Muhammad S.AW}, the Qur’an and the Kaaba are essential to the Alamin / Al-Alamin. We can also see that there are different categories of ‘Alamin; eg Males, Females, Genderless maybe etc

So all the praises and thanks are to Allah, the Lord of the heavens and the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of the ‘Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (Qur’an 45:36)

Say: “Who is (the) Lord of the seven heavens, and (the) Lord of the Great Throne?” They will say: “Allah.” Say: “Will you not then fear Allah (believe in His Oneness, obey Him, believe in the Resurrection and Recompense for each and every good or bad deed).” (Qur’an 23:86-87)

We can clearly see that the heavens, earth, ‘Alamin and the Great Throne are different categories of creations that belong to Allah. This most likely means that there are other creations more honored than the ‘Alamin because though some of the children of Adam are above the ‘Alamin; Allah still says:

And indeed We have honoured the Children of Adam, and We have carried them on land and sea, and have provided them with At-Tayyibat (lawful good things), and have preferred them to many of those whom We have created with a market preferment . (Quran 17:70)

This is the strongest evidence to suggest that there might be other creations of Allah. Do you understand (Qur’an 17:70)? We occupy a high rank according to this Ayat, but not the highest. Now in the world we inhabit…who is at the top of the pyramid? In the creation is us humans because the angels and jinn(s) were instructed to bow down to us. So then we are at the top in this world (of the creation) {Allah knows best}. Yet, Allah says He has honored the children of Adam over many things that He has created, NOT ALL.

Do you not see that Allah has created the heavens and the earth with truth? If He will, He can remove you and bring (in your place) a new creation! And for Allah that is not hard or difficult (i.e. very easy for Allah). (Qur’an 14:19-20)

And if it were Our Will, We would have [destroyed you (mankind) all, and] made angels to replace you on the earth. (Qur’an 43:60)

So I swear by the Lord of all points of sunrise and sunset in the east and the west that surely We are able to replace them by (others) better than them; and We are not to be outrun. (Qur’an 70:40-41)

Just by reading these Ayats we can see the power of Allah. He can replace us with angels/new/better creations} so easily. This further proves that there are more honored creations. Just knowing all this should make us humble.

And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqun (the pious) (Qur’an 3:133)

Verily, Allah has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire (Hell). (Qur’an 33:64)

And when Hell-Fire shall be set ablaze. And when Paradise shall be brought near. (Qur’an 81:12-13)

Who created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving; (Qur’an 67:2)

From the categories of creations; it seems that Paradise, Hell, Death and Life might not be included as part of the seven heavens, earth, ‘Alamin or the Great Throne. Now we know that our Lord is the Lord of an already existing Paradise which is as wide as the heavens and the earth and is the Lord Hell and is the Lord of death and life. With these creations in mind; where do they currently exist? There really must be other creations we don’t know about and are more honored than the children of Adam. Allah knows best.
