Of course we will on resume writing articles but for now let us get used to reading about the Sunnah/Hadiths. Our topic for this week will be:

‘Amr b. al-‘As reported that he heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: When a judge gives a decision, having tried his best to decide correctly and is right, there are two rewards for him; and if he gave a judgment after having tried his best (to arrive at a correct decision) but erred, there is one reward for him. [Sahih Muslim 1716 a]

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may, peace be upon him) as saying:  The best age of my Umma is one in which I was sent (by Allah as an Apostle), then the one next to that. (The narrator said): And Allah knows best whether he stated this third (time) or not. Then there would come people who would love (to look) bulky and they would hasten to the witness box before they are asked to bear witness. [ Sahih Muslim 2534 a]

‘Umar bin Al-Khattab narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Shall I not inform you of the best of your leaders and the worst of them: The best of them are those whom you love and they love you, you supplicate for them, and they supplicate for you. And the evilest of your leaders are those who hate you, and you hate them, and they curse you and you curse them.” [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2264][Sahih (Darussalam)]

Abu Huraira reported the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created. on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it. And the last hour will take place on no day other than Friday. [Sahih Muslim 854 b]

‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr b. al-‘As reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: The best fasting in the eye of Allah is that of David, for he fasted for half of the age (he fasted on alternate days), and the best prayer in the eye of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, is that of David (peace be upon him), for he slept for half of the night and then stood for prayer and then again slept. He prayed for one-third of the night after midnight. He (the narrator) said: I asked ‘Amr b. Dinar whether ‘Amr b. Aus said that he stood for prayer one-third of the night after midnight. It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud said: “The Messenger of Allah said: ‘At the end of time there will appear a people with new teeth (i.e., young in age), with foolish minds. They will speak the best words ever uttered by mankind and they will recite the Qur’an, but it will not go any deeper than their collarbones. They will pass through Islam like an arrow passes through its target. Whoever meets them, let him kill them, for killing them will bring a reward from Allah for those who kill them.” [Sunan Ibn Majah: Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 168] [Sahih (Darussalam)]

Abu Ghalib narrated that Abu Umamah said: “(The Khawarij) are the worst of the slain who are killed under heaven, and the best of the slain are those who were killed by them. Those (Khawarij) are the dogs of Hell. Those people were Muslims but they became disbelievers.” I said: “O Abu Umamah, is that your opinion?” He said: “Rather I heard it from the Messenger of Allah.” [Sunan Ibn Majah: Vol. 1, Book 1, Hadith 176] [Hasan (Darussalam)]
