ISLAMIC AL-JUMUAA REMINDER AND LEGACY GROUP, (http://aljumaareminder.com/), hints from the Quran:
MOON ORBIT AROUND THE EARTH
The Moon revolves around the Earth in an elliptical orbit with a mean eccentricity of 0.0549. Thus, the Moon’s center-to-center distance from Earth varies with mean values of 363,396 km at perigee to 405,504 km at apogee. The lunar (moon) orbital period with respect to the stars (sidereal month) is 27.32166 days (27d 07h 43m 12s).
According to NASA site: http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEhelp/moonorbit.html
Moon is mentioned 27 times in the Noble Quran, and once as crescent, exactly as the number of times and phases it appears to earth!
The Noble Verses (Arabic Qamar = Moon) mentioned 27 times in 26 Ayats) and here verse 2:189 as crescent (1 time in reference to the crescents).
The 27 Ayats are: (Qur’an 2:189:3), (Qur’an 6:77:3), (Qur’an 6:96:7), (Qur’an 7:54:21), (Qur’an 10:5:6), (Qur’an 12:4:12), (Qur’an 13:2:14), (Qur’an 14:33:4), (Qur’an 16:12:6), (Qur’an 21:33:7), (Qur’an 22:18:14), (Qur’an 25:61:10), (Qur’an 29:61:9), (Qur’an 31:29:15), (Qur’an 35:13:11), (Qur’an 36:39:1), (Qur’an 36:40:7), (Qur’an 39:5:15), (Qur’an 41:37:6), (Qur’an 41:37:11), (Qur’an 54:1:4), (Qur’an 55:5:2), (Qur’an 71:16:2), (Qur’an 74:32:2), (Qur’an 75:8:2), (Qur’an 75:9:3), (Qur’an 84:18:1), (Qur’an 91:2:1)
Mentioned 28 times in 27 Ayats. Let as Visualize the numerical miracle now:
As we can see Word Moon occur 27 times which correspond to 27 days and word Crescent which is part of the moon visible at night occur only once in this case for example (32.166% of the moon), correspond to those hours in 28th day (7h 43m 12s). We see here a perfect match between word and their occurrences with scientific facts from NASA.
Word Moon 27 times = 27 days and Word crescent part of the moon = (7h 43m 12s) part of 28 day.
Nowadays there is a lot of propaganda that Allah is a moon god or is a god associated with Babylon (sun worship); so it is important after giving any miracle especially concerning the sun and the moon to add that Muslims don’t worship the sun nor the moon but the one who created them.
And from among His Signs are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Prostrate not to the sun nor to the moon, but prostrate to Allah Who created them, if you (really) worship Him. (Qur’an 41:37)
And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), unless it be in (a way) that is better (with good words and in good manner, inviting them to Islamic Monotheism with His Verses), except with such of them as do wrong, and say (to them): “We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you; our Ilah (God) and your Ilah (God) is One (i.e. Allah), and to Him we have submitted (as Muslims).” (Qur’an 29:46)
The people of the scripture forget that even in the Torah and Bible all Prophet’s used lunar calenders. Kindly see [Isaiah 66:23], [1 Corinthians 23: 30-31], [2 Corinthians 2: 3-5], [Psalm 81:3], [Ezekiel 46: 1-3] etc
It is us Muslims who are continuing the legacy of all the previous Prophets through the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
We Muslims are grateful to Allah for sending us a Messenger to teach us what we knew not.158 - IARLG - Moon orbit around the earth; Date 3rd March 2017; 4th or 5th Jumada ath-Thāniya 1438 (17 downloads)
